I've always loved creating, be it with a pen and paper, paints, watercolors, knitting needles, or a needle and thread. I find that creating art is calming and at the same time brings me excitement and joy. In the spring of this year I came across an old and unused cross stitching craft kit that I received as a gift when I was a child. Having just given birth to my second son, I felt that I could use a new hobby (one that didn't include much physical excerption) for when my boys were napping. I skipped the cross stitching instruction booklet and set straight to teaching myself embroidery. I have always been intrigued by embroidery. It has been a pass-time for women for centuries. I quickly learned that there are so many talented embroidery artists out there, each with their own style. I enjoy looking at different types of stitches and learning how to use different techniques. I am finding my niche and enjoy sharing my art with you all.
